A proposal for a tax on glue and gelatin size manufactures, including lists of producers and their average yearly production. Contains a preface note to Thomas Pelham-Holles, Duke of Newcastle, stating that Henry Pelham, the duke's brother, had promised to help Dyer financially because of the worth of the proposal; and that upon Pelham's death (d. 1754), Dyer requested that the Duke take on Pelham's promise.
